better, and
experienced less drama and more fun. Raising kids got easier, and the
rest of the world seemed nicer. Professional life became less
stressful, and life got a little richer.
When Chris finished his teacher training program, they decided to open Dharma Yoga Studios, Inc. Dharma means personal truth, that which holds us up and supports us, or some describe it as an individual’s path through their life. We’re all a little different. We want you to develop your own practice at your own pace and your own speed that strengthens and relaxes you. If you are new to yoga, you are welcome here.
Yoga is not about leaving the world to go meditate in some mountain top cave while the rest of humanity struggles below. Yoga will make you stronger and calmer. Far from escape, this is about becoming fully present in the moment.
At Dharma Yoga Studios, Inc., we seek to provide a safe, noncompetitive environment to explore yoga. We’re all a little different. Noncompetitive means that your practice is your own. The person on the mat beside you may have been practicing for ten years. No need to compare or keep up…just do what you can and listen to your body.
It’s your body. If you don’t like something, don’t do it. Stay safe, breathe deeply, and smile lots…this is fun. After a practice, you may find yourself smiling more. You may take yourself a little less seriously. The people around you may suddenly seem a little nicer. Decision making may become easier. All of these are common effects we have experienced, and hope you will too.
You are welcome to take any class you want. There are no prerequisites or experience required. If you have injuries, please tell the teacher before class. Always rest when you want and certainly when you need.
We are located in Maxwell Pointe shopping center on the intersection of Hwy. 14 and Woodruff Rd.
