Teacher Training

With dedication and effort, sooner or later, your practice reaches a place where you are ready for the next step. Some train to teach. Some are seeking to learn more about a discipline that calms the mind and allows for a deeper and more awake approach to life. Our approach to yoga is to help you find your own practice, and help you develop your skills to enable you to find your own place of highest potential. We offer a well rounded 200 hour program in hatha yoga that is registered with Yoga Alliance. We focus on vinyasa flow, and incorporate elements of yin, yin and yang, restorative, meditation, bhakti, and philosophy.

   

Chris Brown, E-RYT 200/E-RYT 500 is the primary teacher for this training. Chris is an owner in Family Legacy, Inc., and strongly feels that yoga can heal body and mind. Yoga makes us better professionals, better parents, and better people. The most authentic teacher is the one within. We encourage you to open your heart and start living your life awake and connected.

This is an intensive nine weekend training over about 18 weeks. Each weekend consists of about 20 hours of intensive practice and instruction. We strongly believe in giving you lots of practice teaching opportunities, and giving you individualized guidance to help you become an effective teacher. Our program is open to all ages, shapes, and sizes. Some yoga experience and the intention to develop a daily practice is required. We invite you join in a transformational experience of exploring your highest potential. Different schools of thought will be explored and considered. All will be honored and respected.

                              

The 2013 program is open for applications. Space is limited, and the deadline to register is May 31. The program dates are June 14-October 6, meeting every other weekend. The cost is $1750.
